Who can use Kove
You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States to use Kove. By creating an account, you confirm both are true.
Accounts and roles
Kove has two types of accounts:
Creator — a paid account holder who can post photos and captions, invite people to their circle, and manage who has access to their content.
Invitee — a free account created after accepting a Creator's invitation. Invitees can view posts, leave likes, and post comments. They cannot post new content or invite others.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Don't share your login with anyone.
Your subscription
Creator access requires a paid subscription at $7.99/month (or the current annual rate). Billing is handled by Stripe.
30-day money-back guarantee: if you're not satisfied within your first 30 days, email privacy@koveapp.com for a full refund, no questions asked.
You can cancel at any time. Your Creator access continues through the end of the billing period you've already paid for.
After cancellation: your account data (posts, media, comments) is retained for 30 days, then permanently deleted. Download anything you want to keep before you cancel.
Invitees are always free. Invitees do not need a subscription.
Your content
You own everything you post. Photos, videos, captions, comments — they're yours.
By posting content on Kove, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and deliver that content to the people you've invited — and only them. This license exists solely to run the service.
This license ends when you delete the content or close your account (after the 30-day retention window).
We do not use your content to train AI models. We do not analyze your photos for any commercial purpose. We do not share your content with anyone you haven't invited.
You are responsible for having the rights to any content you post.
What you cannot do
You may not use Kove to:
• Post nudity or sexually explicit content of any kind — this applies regardless of whether the content is legal • Post content that is illegal, including any material that sexually exploits minors • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users • Share your account credentials or allow others to use your account • Attempt to access another user's account or content without authorization • Scrape, crawl, or automate access to the service • Interfere with or disrupt Kove's infrastructure or servers • Impersonate another person or entity
Ending your account
You can cancel your subscription and close your account at any time through your account settings or by emailing privacy@koveapp.com.
We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with or without notice. In cases of serious violations (e.g., illegal content), termination is immediate.
In all cases, the 30-day data retention window applies before permanent deletion.
Service availability
We aim to keep Kove running reliably, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may perform maintenance, experience outages, or make changes to the service. We're not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by service interruptions.
Limitation of liability
Kove is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, David Mitchell d/b/a Kove is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Kentucky, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of Kove after that date means you accept the new terms. The "effective date" at the top of this page reflects the current version.
